|CAITLYN IVY||Head Freshman Girls Basketball Coach|
|Hi! I’m Caitlyn Ivy—teacher, coach, dog lover and aspiring world traveler.
This year will be my 6th as a teacher/coach, and my first at Leander ISD. Growing up in Huntington, a small, one-red-light East Texas town, I played basketball (All-District honors) and softball (All State Honors/2008 State Champions) for Huntington High School—learning how important athletics can be in a young person’s life. I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio on a softball scholarship and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology-Exercise Science.Though I’ve enjoyed my previous stops as a teacher and coach, I am thrilled at the opportunity to join the Vandegrift family and look forward to a great year!
